Liebe Frau Grell!

Ich möchte ihnen kurz berichten, dass es Jilly gut geht. Sie ist heute schon lebhafter als noch gestern und läßt immer wieder durchblicken, wie lustig sie noch werden wird…. Sie wird im
Haus und auch im Garten immer mutiger, frißt und trinkt gut und beginnt sich für ihr Spielzeug zu interessieren.
Besonders gut gefällt ihr mein Zimmer – da liegt viel Interessantes am Boden, v.a. Stofftiere scheint sie zu mögen:) Heute hat Jilly auch eine Verwöhnstunde bei der Hundepflegerin
bekommen, jetzt glänzt und duftet sie besonders gut. Sie ist eine ganz unkomplizierte, verschmuste und wir haben sie schon sehr ins Herz geschlossen. Wir werden uns natürlich bald wieder melden, mit einem englischen Mail und Fotos für Father Anthony!!

Dear Father Anthony!

Jilly is living with us now a little longer than a week, we are very happy that we have her and we can’t imagine letting her go again.On our way home, she was very relaxed. She was sitting in the back row of our car, and put her head in the lap of  an slept the whole way. From the first day on, I never had the impression that she was sad, and she never cried as well. At the very beginning she was a little bit shy, especially when we went out, but now she has made the garden her territory, and she is running as fast as the wind from one corner of the garden to the other. In the evening it is especially interesting going out with her, because suddenly she materialises out of the darkness next to us.

On the 2nd day, we gave her a bath, which made her more black than she was before (there was some mud in her fur J). She didn’t like this too much, but she was good and let us do what we had to do! In the night, she sleeps in her bed all night, sometimes we have to open the door for her an let her out. She moistened our carpets a few times, but this happens very rarely, and I am sure that in a few days, it will never happen again.She is really such a cute and good dog, she is always where we are, and you can caress her for ours, she always likes this. I think she became already fond of us too. Due to our working situation, we had to leave her alone since Monday for a few hours. We practiced that over the weekend, and she accepted it better than I would have wished and dreamed.
